Solid MIx Buss front rack format.png

The Solid 4000 Mix Buss is a  stereo processor that glues together and brings life to a mix. Based on the classic british consoles, it has the same bus circuit that the Solid 4k–500 series of the Epsilon 32–500 summing mixer. In rack format and very simple to use: Drive, Output and Blender controls.

The Solid 4000 Mix Buss is designed to be used mostly as an insert on the mix bus, but can also be used to enhance instrument group busses. We suggest to insert it before you start mixing and then mix through it. This helps you tailor the mix  and get the best sound.

With the same bus circuit that the Solid 4k–500 series of the Epsilon 32–500:

controls included are:

1- DRIVE controls harmonic distortion: It sounds like aggressively hitting a console mix buss. High settings increase grit and drive. Lower settings tend to open up the dynamics. Begin with extreme settings so that you can really hear the effect.

2-OUTPUT fader to compensate the output level as you adjust the drive control.

3-BLEND: The Dry/Wet blend control determines the balance between the original and the processed signal. The range is from 0% (dry, unprocessed) to 100% (wet, processed signal only).

Easy TIP to check our mixbuss processor and get the 'Glue' sound fast:

1. Start with the DRIVE Control around -10dB (close to o'clock) and the OUTPUT Control at +10dB (maximum).

2. While increase the  DRIVE Control until find your SWEET SPOT decrease the OUTPUT Control. If you Drive very hard the mix will start to sound smashed, try to find the 'GLUE' point.

3. Now adjust the BLENDER Control as you like.
